Is it not allowed to join Discord if you're banned from ManaCube?

Hey there, So I used to be an avid player of ManaCube (back then it was MineVast) but I am starting to consider buying an unban as I want another chance on this server (this is starting to sound like a appeal, lol it's not) but I wanted to get on the discord server and kinda get to know the newer players so when I do get an unban I'm not a total stranger and I don't know anyone on there, because, that's never fun for anyone.
So is it frowned upon to join ManaCube Discord while banned?
