Olympus Cactus Farm Render Distance?

Hello,

It seems to me that when ever I am not looking at my cactus farm the cactus seem to stop growing, this also applies to me at anytime I am a certain number of blocks away from the farm. This gave my the idea that it seems larger cactus farms (2plotx3plot) are a waste of space since half the farm fails to render the cactus even breaking.

Who knows, maybe I'm wrong but has anyone know the science behind this?

You just gotta be in the chunk of the cactus farm. (F3 + G to see chunk barriers.)

For future reference, for any farm to work you need to be within the chunk.

Whether it be cacti, mob grinders, sugarcane, etc. You have to be online and inside the chunk (as @prettyyodd mentioned!) for cacti to grow and for mobs to spawn. Even using an alt to AFK at your farm (as long as you don’t use the alt to claim extra plots) that works too, keeping in mind the new alt limit is 3. <3

Nothing was mentioned about that, that I know of. It’s been 5 for a while.

Ah, I just remember hearing it being changed to 3, Doesn't really matter to me anyway since I have no alts.

The alt limit is most definitly 3 for olympus currently. Trying to log in with anymore than that results the the message "No more than 3 connections for I.P."
