The economy before reset always fluctuates and people raise prices since they have more money. Since I am one of the main cubit buyers it's always frustrating to see new players selling cubits for way over price and other things as well. Here are the main prices for mainstream items.
Books
leg book
500k-600k
rare books
300k-400k
common
50k-150k

Cubits and mana
0.01 cubits = 10k
1 mana = 1k

Legendary books
blessed 5 = 600k
autosmelt 5= 400k
blast 2= 600k
haste 3 = 700k-800k
headless 5= 800k-1 mil
telepathy= 350k-450k

Rare books
iceforge 4 = 750k-950k
experienced 3 =250k-400k
rage 3 = 300k-400k
snare 4 = 200k-350k
inquisitive 3 = 500k-650k
overload = 50k-100k
freeze 3 = 450k-600k
antigravity 5 = 450k-550k
gears 4 = 350k-500k
tamer 3 = 350k-400k
multiarrow 4 = 150k-200k
pull 3 = 150k
Common books
drunk 3 = 100k-200k
viper = 100k
the rest of the common books are below 100k

Seller prices are only part of the battle. I see a lot of buyers openly 'overpaying' for cubits. What you are seeing at the end before a reset is the result of over-inflation of the economy. While new users want to make quick money while some of the more established users are fine with throwing their money around.

I see what you are suggesting. Setting a standard across the board would be great but you are taking part in an economy that is primarily user driven and you will see inflation and price fluctuations all the time.

and since I've been on the server for a while these are what people will be selling things for at default price

Don't get me wrong I am not denying that they will in the beginning. I just wanted to address your statement about being frustrated with the inflation.

It would be awesome to see users able to buy and sell similar how to the stock market works. The more people that sell back cubits for instance, the price will drop and then it will be a buyers market etc. Though that would be a tall order to make it happen :p

i made this mainly because new players will still think 0.01 cubits will be 40k for example when they wont be
