More Skyblock updates added to thread:

MISCELLANEOUS UPDATES
  • Invincibility added when visiting other players islands
  • New scoreboard
  • Monster & Animal limit per chunk increased
  • Villager limit 10x per player (Team of 4 can have 40 villagers)
  • Islands now have limits on some entities
    Banner: 100 max
    Item Frame: 200 Max
    Hopper: 800 Max
    Painting: 50 Max
    Armor Stand: 50 Max
    Beacon: 25 Max
  • Restarting your island no longer resets your inventory
  • Can now change all the visitor settings on your island /is settings
    (This allows you to change what visitors can and cannot do on your island)

Hey Dacon,

I'm very grateful for the animal limit increase but would like to ask you to reconsider the limitation of hoppers and villagers. Resource-demanding builds, such as iron profit shops, require vast amounts of hoppers and provide a great service to the community. Additionally, ten villagers cannot meet all the needs for players desiring reasonable trades for emeralds and enchanted books. I don't believe any players would benefit from these restrictions- we'd be willing to take on a bit of lag to keep these privileges ;)

Although like most people I'm sad to hear the resets are happening, I'm glad I'll be able to start fresh with everyone else and have a clean run. I'm also thrilled to check out the website revamp; it looks simply enticing, and I hope all the changes that are coming can make a positive impact in all!

Do the old server need to fully disappear, can't they be view-able only or be downloadable maybe? All of one's progress and structures will just be gone as if it never existed. It would be a lot nicer if it would be either (as mentioned) downloadable or view-able only. - Also what's the point to spend cash on something that will be lost and gone, this fast.. this makes me even more uncertain about how much money one should invest in the new server.. because who knows when it will be reset again.

I know we have different opinions here, but the older servers should be saved and not reset. That's how many other servers owners do, they keep the old servers alongside the new ones.. at least in a period of time.

Already told tons of people (dont think I mentioned in this thread though) that there'll be an archive server that hosts our old worlds

I'm Excited for this new updates!! [Still will miss the old name though :( ]
But please don't make everyone restart their progress on servers during the new revamps @Dacon
Many players worked hard to get where they are today.

The Mana Cube
The Mana Cube is an ancient magical cube located inside the Hub Island. It has mysterious properties, and powers the dimensional rift inside the Tree of Time
It is believed to be older than the universe itself

Tree of Time & Dimensional Rift
The Tree of Time is located on the surface of the Hub Island. A dimensional rift is embedded in the body. It was once a regular portal, but once it's roots came in contact with the Mana Cube, it became unstable due to consuming more mana than it could handle, opening up a large tear in space-time/

The Rift allows the transportation between different dimensions and time periods.
Using the rift too often can give way to Rift Sickness which can cause travelers to become unstable when used

Current Ages
The Rift currently links up to 8 different time periods in space-time
(CE = Common Era. BCE = Before Common Era)

  • Creative - Birth of the Universe
  • Islands - Era of Piracy, 1600 CE
  • SkyWars - Futuristic, 4350 CE (This will make sense when SkyWars receives it's revamp update)
  • Skyblock - Era of Magic, 6000 BCE
  • KitPvP - Medieval Age, 600 CE
  • Parkour - Unknown
  • Survival - Explorer Age, 8000 BCE
The Magi Consortium
The Magi Consortium is the governing force within the universe, generally working for the good of everyone. Their headquarters is located west of the Hub Island.

Staff Team members are also members of the Consortium
The Consortium are responsible for reporting of events, such as maintenance, new content, new dimensions found, etc.​
Rift Explorers
These are the brave Mages that travel space and time. They're known as Rift Explorers, and the best mages in the universe (They have to be in order to survive dimensional travel)​

BRAND NEW WORLD
Enhanced custom terrain generation + Dynmap is back

Survival will now have a new fresh 1.10 world, created with a custom generator for more appealing terrain, places to discover, unique structures, and more!

The current size is 15k by 15k Square border. Which is considerably (almost 100%) larger than our old world (10k by 10k Circular border)

Typing /quests now opens a menu where you can select to view
- Main Quests
- Daily Quests
- Monthly Tournaments

Daily quests refresh every day at 12:00AM EST
Completing a Daily Quests rewards you with a Treasure Chest. Right Click the chest to receive a reward!


/party top

There is now a /p top command to show the richest parties! A parties total worth is the value of blocks/spawners placed in it's claimed land, chests, and balance of all party members

MISCELLANEOUS UPDATES
  • You now start off with 15 Party Power instead of 10. Each person added to party increases the power by 15 as well.
  • Inactivity kick time increased from 30 days to 45 days
  • 3 Second waiting time added to teleports. Combat Logger plugin added
  • New Winter Themed Spawn
  • It is now impossible to overclaim other players land if they have more land than power. Please report parties who have more land than their power can support
  • All data reset except for:
    - Perks won from Treasure Chests
    - Ranks
    - Titles & other permissions
  • 1.10 minecraft features now available
  • Nether and End world reset

Ore Generators
Cobblestone Generators now have a % to spawn a certain type of ore. Islands with a higher total level get better ore probabilities!​

Island Team Chat
Enter a chat channel that only members of your island can talk in. Type /is tc​

New Challenges
Most of the challenges have been updated with new rewards & objectives​

New PvP Arena
A new, bigger PvP arena has been made. Type /warp pvp​

Full Reset + Namechange support
Since Skyblock has finally reset, we are now able to support name changing on it, meaning you can change your name without losing any of your data.
This also means you will need to claim your donator rank back. Claim it for free at http://store.minevast.com/category/688884

New /shop GUI + new items & price changes
You can now access the server shop from your island by typing /shop (Similar to /sell)

Will the IP be changing?

The IP will be changed to play.manacube.com / manacube.com
You will still be able to use MineVast's IP, or any other IP that directs to MineVast


I bought Keys for Skyblock/Survival, can I get a refund?

If you bought ancient/perk keys for Survival/Skyblock in the past week, you will be sent them again when you log in.​
