I also think that shulker boxes should accessible via the gui and not just placement. ideal for anything in your enderchest in a shulker box at arena, so you can just open it in your enderchest or something like that. Thoughts?

Agreed. Maybe they could make it openable by pressing E when hovering over it.

I don't know if the code will really support something like this. Seems like a huge ton to workaround since every shulker box is unique. Unlike ender chest which is preset to one a player. Could just as well add a backpack plugin instead

Is it possible? Most probably.
Would it be suitable for a server (especially with limited resources)? Most probably not.
