How does the sell wand work?

I was recently playing Olympus, and I found myself with a chest of dirt and did not know what to do with it. I had seen the sell wand and was wondering if the sell wand could only sell things that you could already sell in the shop or doing /sell, or if you could sell things like dirt.

you can sell bing bongs with them
IDK though because Parkour > Olympus
