We all are familiar with skyblock, but some people new to skyblock have trouble with making food, armor, farms, ect. Here is a quick review over a few things.
Some people don't know how to make a cobble stone generator as most of you probably know but for those who don't, try something simple like this. Dig four blocks straight. lets say the surrounding blocks are grass and you are left with 4 dirt in your inventory after digging, those four blocks, after put ONE of those dirt blocks in the middle leaving 3 blocks left. on the side with fewer blocks, put lava on that side. on the other side with 2 blocks, break the block closest to the dirt one deep. Afterwards put water on the block farthest from the dirt.
materials: you should start by planting a sapling and then get more saplings and wood, obviously. Also by mining the cobblestone generator would get you cobble which you can use the wood you got for melting it after making a furnace and crafting table for stone or stone bricks. Build a house and expand your island with the cobblestone or sell it for armor at shops.
Food: you should spawn with a water melon, Don't eat it! Put it in a crafting table get the seeds. Make a hoe, then plant them and you have food, watermelon isn't the best source though, but also good to sell and make more watermelons or a farm.
